I won't say we are a normal couple, but I can say that we are an average pair. Middle-class Americans of modest means, living in Tennessee. We are both well educated, career minded people who have had the blessings afforded to folks living in the United States.
    I was a singer and entertainer for years, then got into the business end of entertainment as an agent and administrator with a production company.  On his way to becoming a

scientist, Robert took a detour, got bit by the restaurant business bug, became a Chef and later a restauranteur. Neither one of us are still in the same line of work as we first started. Catastrophic illness has a way of derailing the best of plans.
